Perinate Herpes Simplex Viral Infection

Perinate herpes simplex viral infections may cause serious disease incidence and mortality. A number of the infections result from abscure cervical shedding of virus after a primary episode of genital HSV in the third trimester. Immune bodies to HSV-2 were found in approximately 20% of pregnant women, but only 5% report a history of symptomatic infection.

Primary cases of HSV and secondary cases near term or at the time of childbirth should be treated with antiviral therapy. Сesarean section should be performed if active HSV infection is present at the time of delivery.

Both symptomatic and asymptomatic primary genital HSV infections are associated with premature delivery and low birth weight children. Diagnosticating of perinate HSV may be difficult, but it should be suspected in any newborn with irritability, lethargy, fever or poor feeding at one week of age. Primary diagnosis is made by culturing the blood, cerebro-spinial fluid, urine and fluid from eyes, nose and mucous tunic. Actually all newborn infants suspected to have or who are diagnosed with HSV infection should be put under treatment with parenteral acyclovir.

Perinate herpes simplex virus (HSV) infections are transmitted from an infected mother, usually vertically, during childbirth. Introduction of infection is approximately 1 per 3,000 to 20,000 live births. A mother who detects a primary episode of genital HSV during the third trimester and who has not completed seroconversion by the onset of labor has a 33% chance of transmitting the infection to the child.

A mother detecting a secondary reactivation of HSV during the intrapartum period has approximately a 3% chance of transmitting the infection to her cheild. From amongst infected infants, only 30% have mothers who had symptomatic HSV or a sexual partner with clinical infection. Most perinate infections happen because of asymptomatic cervical shedding of virus, usually after a primary episode of HSV infection.

Frequency of occurences worldwide of herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) seropositivity is anxiously high (about 25% seropositivity in USA). Immune bodies to HSV-2 were found in approximately 20% of ladies-in-waiting; however, only 5 have shown a history of symptomatic infection.

It’s worth mentioning that primary genital HSV infections during gestation can be detected at rates similar to those in nonpregnant women, and often these infections may be described as asymptomatic. There is a 2 to 3 percent seroconversion rate in pregnant women. Infection contamination occurs from an HSV-2-positive partner and is often traced to asymptomatic shedding of virus. Both symptomatic and asymptomatic primary genital HSV infections are associated with premature delivery and misborn infants. Due to wide spread of HSV among adults, physicians should take into consideration the risk of a primary HSV infection in a ladies-in-waiting and its potential consequences to the foetus.

Reciprocal and Non-Reciprocal Links-What’s the Difference?

Once your website is up and raring to go, it is important to start formulating a marketing strategy. The obvious goal is to attract as many visitors as you can. One of the best ways to do this is through a “Linking Campaign”.

In order to begin your campaign, you must first understand the difference between reciprocal and non-reciprocal links. A reciprocal link simply means that two websites are linking to each other. Both sites generate traffic for each other simultaneously. This follows the philosophy of, “You scratch my back, and I’ll scratch yours.” A non-reciprocal link refers to a website that links one-way. A good linking strategy is to create as many inbound non-reciprocal links as possible, with some strategically chosen reciprocal links as well.

Nowadays, search engines are incredibly smart. The positioning of your site depends a great deal upon how many people link to your site. A lot of non-reciprocal inbound links tells a search engine that your site contains valuable information. After all, who’s going to recommend your site without reciprocation unless they believe it will benefit their readers?

On the other hand, a website with a bunch of reciprocal links could indicate that the webmaster solicits links. This means topics and information may or may not be connected, and the probability that it’s a valuable site diminishes. To determine this, search engines then look for key word connections between reciprocal links to determine if the sites are in fact benefiting each other.

The key is: choose your reciprocal links wisely. Connect only to websites that contain related information that readers will enjoy. Spend your time cultivating valuable information on your site, and then tell everyone you can! If you end up having more non-reciprocal links than reciprocal links, search engines will rate your site much higher than those that don’t.

Then the question becomes, how do you generate non-reciprocal links? The first step is to create a site packed with valuable information. Make your site full of interesting details that similar sites’ readers can’t live without. If webmasters see the benefit to linking to your site, your Marketing Campaign becomes a snap.

When you begin, try emailing other webmasters. Tell them why your site will be important to their readers, and make it easy for them to say yes by including a ready-made link. You’d be surprised at how many people agree to help!

You can also try writing a nice review of a few sites on your webpage. Email the sites’ webmasters and let them know about your testimonials. It’s likely that the sites will want to advertise your nice comments to their readers by posting a link to your review.

Finally, submit your website to as many relevant web directories as you can. This is one of the fastest, most powerful ways to make your website known. If you search for “web directory” on Yahoo!, it returns over 1 million results. You can pick and choose the ones you’d like to submit to. Unfortunately, this can be very time consuming. Plus, with over a million results, how do you know which directories are the best choice?

When I realized how tedious the process can be, I decided to create a product that would make the job easier. Master Programmer Paul Martin and I have compiled 280+ of the best directories on the web. Get Your Mail While RV Traveling

One of the challenges long term RV travelers face is how to get important mail while traveling. Your power and phone bills still need to be paid even when you’re not at home. If you’ve given up your house for full-time traveling, you’ll still need to get your Social Security checks, DMV documents, bank statements and credit card bills. How, then, can you get your mail while on the road?

With over 25 years of experience handling mail for RV travelers, here are some tips that The Postal Depot can offer for mail receiving and mail forwarding:

Step 1:

Rent a mailbox with a physical address. If you rent a box at the local Post Office branch, you won’t be able to receive packages or mail from any carrier other than the good old U.S.P.S. Also, the Post Office can’t forward your mail to various addresses you might be at while traveling around the country. A mailbox at a commercial mail service center, like The Postal Depot, can offer you a true street address place for receiving your mail.

Step 2:

Sign up for a mail forwarding service. Choose a reliable mail forwarding service that’s experienced in forwarding mail to RV travelers. You’ll be able to have your mail sent to you as often or as little as you’d like anywhere you might be in the United States . The best services forward your mail to you for the actual cost of postage plus a flat handling fee. This handling fee should include the cost of the envelope used and all other supplies. Be careful of the hidden costs some forwarding agencies tack on to their so called low handling fees.

Step 3:

Plan your trip around small towns. When you need your mail forwarded to you, look on a map for a small town that you’ll be traveling through in five to seven days. Why a small town? Because you can have your mail sent to that town’s Post Office c/o General Delivery. Big city Post Offices probably won’t offer this service. The Post Office receiving your mail will hold it for 10 days before returning it to the sender. Your general delivery mail address will look like this:

Your Name
c/o General Delivery
City, State, Zip Code

Remember that not all Post Offices will accept and hold mail arriving c/o General Delivery, so it’s a good idea to call before you have your mail sent. Call the Post Office’s toll-free number (1-800-ASK-USPS) and ask if the Post Office in that town will receive General Delivery mail.

Step 4:

Use Flat-rate Priority Mail Envelopes. If possible, have your mail forwarded to you in a Priority Mail Flat Rate envelope. As long as your mail fits in this envelope, the postage price is the same regardless of weight. Also, Priority Mail usually arrives at its destination (anywhere in the United States ) in two to three days.

Step 5:
Consider having only first-class mail sent. Most bills, statements, payments, letters, postcards and other important mail are sent via first-class mail. Advertisements, sales magazines and basic “junk mail” are usually sent presorted standard (second-class). You can save money on postage by having your mail forwarding service send you first-class mail only. The remaining mail can be held in your mailbox. If you enjoy looking through ads and sales magazines, like many people do, have all your mail forwarded.

Step 6:
Rent a mailbox with a Nevada address. Even though the typical full-time RV traveler is retired, many continue to maintain a corporation. Consider incorporating in Nevada to save money. Nevada is one of the most tax-friendly states in the U.S. For a nominal amount of money, you can rent a mailbox with a Nevada physical street address, obtain the services of a Nevada Resident Agent and incorporate your business through the Nevada Secretary of State while enjoying Nevada ’s corporate tax benefits.

The last thing on your mind while relaxing in your RV should be worrying about your mail. By becoming familiar with the above tips, mail delivery won’t be much of an issue.

Identity Theft : They Got Him

His hard earned money? Gone. Creditors on his back everyday. Police knocking on his door. His family strained to the breaking point. He didn’t do anything wrong but my business partner’s life got turned upside down a few years back. He became a victim of what is now the fastest growing crime in the world. Identity theft.

According to the Federal Trade Commission, since 1999 over 27 million people in the US alone became victims of this
epidemic 10 million more last year. Harris InterActive,a
marketing research company, reports that between 2002 and
2003 roughly 19,178 people per day fell victim.

Your identity can be stolen in many ways. For my partner,
the thief gained access to his social security number and
address then applied for a series of loans in his name. When
the bills came due, guess who the creditors and law enforcement held accountable?

He and his family felt the full impact. Identity theft can
cripple and even destroy a person’s life. Not just the time loss
trying to recover your identity but also the out of pocket
expense. U.S.Treasury Secretary John Snow calls identity
theft “the greatest threat to consumers and far more
insidious and harmful to our national welfare than many
people realize.”

The internet doesn’t make it any better with its almost
limitless access to information but a great deal of identity
theft still comes from the offline world. Wherever it comes
from the goal stays the same. Get your personnal
information and steal what belongs to you for as long as
possible.

In many cases, this can lead to the victim filing for
bankruptcy or worse. As reported by the Orlando Sentinel,
one man whose identity got stolen recently spent 54 days in
jail before authorities realized their mistake.

Yet even when the thief finally gets caught, victims find
out all too often the worse part still lies ahead. The
recovery of their identity. For my partner, that meant never
ending battles with the same credit bureaus that previously
gave him good ratings.

They destroyed his credit almost overnight eventhough he did
everything they told him to get it restored. The agencies
refused to clear his record and instead, started sharing his
information with each other. His mortgage rates went
thru the roof. He paid more for everything but still got
declined. With all of this came the burden and fear of him
not knowing if he would ever recover his identity.

Six years later he finally did. He started working with a
company that within 90 days restored his credit. His
mortgage rate dropped and he went back to paying full price
for everything like the rest of us.

And like my partner, all of us risk becoming victims. In San
Antonio Texas, television station KENS 5 spoke with a man
convicted of identity theft who warned “Don’t take for
granted what you have because anybody could take it away I mean at the snap of a finger.”

He would know. The ways of stealing an identity have turned
this crime from nuisance to worldwide crisis.

Mobile Phone Suppliers - Nokia UK

Nokia, as we all know, is now 1 of the earth’s most large builders of telephones and this is compared with other leading competitors for example, Samsung & Motorola (amid others). Nokia fabricate phones for each main market sector and back in 07 they were voted the most valuable global brand. Their goods fall into four various sectors - handsets, multimedia, networks & enterprise solutions.

The hand-set revolution headed by Nokia is apparently irrepressible. The thickset bricks made in the nineteen nineties for instance, the Nokia 2110 that was almost 236 grams have nowadays been superseded with light-weight, and slim telephones for instance, the Nokia 6282 that comes in at 115 g or the Nokia 7380 that weighs primarily 80 grams. All the phones have the most current in communications jiggery-pokery coupled with a good fashion sense.

Deciding on a set was in the past a painless undertaking then again considering the products possible to all of us today, it becomes somewhat harder. Potential buyers will probably buy their mobile devices with the thought of various features, - might it be a statement of fashion an object which makes folk look groovy - or might it be only for the advantages that the handsets currently offer, for instance, e-mail & WAP, etc. There is an extensive range of uk mobiles to see on Nokia’s website.

Additional technologies are likewise consolidating in Nokia telephones to provide the customer the possibility to communicate with more than only speech. Nokia mobile devices which include cameras are also becoming familiar as is the facility to produce videos and broadcast them to friends and associates through multimedia messaging. You can furthermore get full color video on every one of their phones and well over 1/2 are available with the opportunity to show WAP info (pages designed only for the smaller display on your handsets). Also obtainable is cell phones which have radios & MP3 facilities just for listening to your favourite tracks. The prices of their telephones range from nothing at all up to a few hundred pounds, it primarily depends about what someone want.

Nokia, as was said, continues to be the the earth’s top maker of telephones, even though some think that Nokia’s number 1 ranking might be threatened especially by Sony Erickson. Even so, Nokia are backed by the advantage of years of experience in handset fabrication & has brilliant loyalty from its mainstream consumers coupled with with their reputation just for reliability & user friendliness.

As new technologies become even more vital in today’s cell phones, the space between Nokia and all of its competitors will become additionally obvious.

Finding the Right Car Loan for You

So the time has come to purchase a car. A big decision in anybody’s life and one we have to make sometimes far too often. That being said it is also a great time of excitement for the prospective new car owner regardless of whether you’re buying a brand new Rolls Royce or something a little less ostentatious.

Of course the key to purchasing your new pride and joy is having the required funds necessary to make that new dream machine a reality in the drive way. But don’t forget the extras that always go with any new car, those being insurance and road fund licence as well as the obligatory air freshener, key ring and new mats to complement your new ride. So remember when you’re budgeting for your new wheels not to forget the essential extras.

So what is the right car loan or finance for you, well that’s a question that requires any prospective purchaser to do there homework and see what is out there. Don’t just take the offer of finance put on the table by the dealer trying to sell you the car. Remember these guys are trying to get the maximum profit from their sale to you so you may find the repayments are not in your favor. More often than not the APR offered by dealer finance is highly uncompetitive when compared to your average ‘High Street’ lender. The main thing you gain from dealer finance is not having to go elsewhere to arrange a loan. You should still get a warranty if it’s included with the car and any other perks the dealer is offering.

So where do I go for a better APR rate than the dealer? Well the first place is the high street as said before. Banks & Building society’s have loan rates for any purpose that are usually much more competitive and if you get one with our own Bank or Building society they will know you and may offer you great repayment deals.

But the real goldmine for car buyers anywhere is of course the internet, with a global marketplace lenders can loan anyone anywhere any product they like. This makes for a highly competitive market where all the lenders can complete for your business and are quite literally falling over each other to offer you the best deal and gain your custom. Sites such as creditmonster.co.uk have searched out the most competitive loan and finance deals and put them all in one easy place. Sites such as this offer you the choices and easy to follow sign up procedures all from the comfort of your living room, no need to traipse the high street any more.

Remember when you take out any form of finance or loan that you are responsible for any contract you sign up for and so you must always read the small print and make sure you understand any contract you enter into fully.

Take your time find out the deal with the APR and repayments to suit you. But most of all get the financial side right first off and then leave yourself free to enjoy your new purchase. Happy motoring.

Cheap Long Distance or is It Really? The Search Continues…

Each month, there are countless Americans who are faced with phone bills that they simply cannot afford. In many cases, they are paying fees that they were never made aware of. Many are being charged far too much for long distance calls, as well. This is especially true for Americans who make international calls on a regular basis.

Many people have turned to cell phones in the hope that their long distance costs will be reduced. However, this can quickly lead to overages and ridiculously high bills. Phone cards are another option, but they do not generally offer low long distance rates. Most phone card companies if not all uses cheap carriers to carry their calls. This can lead to consumers experiencing bad connections and with all the fees associated with phone cards such as connection fees and maintenance fees, leaves the consumer with only a few minutes left on a $5.00 phone card.

Is Cheap Long Distance Service Available?

People pay for their monthly phone plans whether they are placing 50 or 500 calls. There is a charge for each long distance call, but there is also a service charge that is tacked onto every bill. Due to these and other fees, most people are not getting their money’s worth when it comes to long distance.

Prepaid Long distance Service

Prepaid plans allow a person to spend money only when he is actually talking to someone. If a person prepays $100, he is going to make use of every dollar that he spends. The prepaid plan doesn’t expire, so For instance, most calling services charge $.18 or more for calls to countries that prepaid calling plans charge only $.10 per minute to call. Prepaid long distance allows a person to place calls from just about any phone. Whether using cellular phones, home phones or public telephones, you only pay for the actual usage or in other words “talk time”.

Prepaid international calling can save people with family and friends in other countries a considerable amount of money. It is also beneficial for people who are traveling. Customers can connect to their accounts through an access number from almost anywhere using any of the 10 phones that they can register on their account. Prepaid phone accounts function in a similar way to calling cards. However, they do not require a pin number to make a call.

The Real Fear

The verses in this weeks Torah portion Bereishit 32:7-8
state: “The angels returned to Jacob saying, ‘We came to your
brother, to Esau, and he is also coming toward you, and four
hundred men are with him.’ Jacob became very frightened and was
distressed, so he divided the people who were with him and the
flocks and the cattle and the camels into two camps.”

Rav Yerucham Levovitz, the great pre-WWII Mirrer
mashgiach enlightens us to the fact that Jacob surely was
not afraid in the same terms that we would be afraid, but rather
he was afraid that maybe he sinned and this in turn would lead
to his downfall.

Rashi makes this clear in the following verse: “I have become
small from all the kindnesses and from all the truth that You
have rendered Your servant, for with my staff I crossed this
Jordan, and now I have become two camps.” (Bereishit -
Chapter 32:11) Rashi states: “Therefore, I fear lest I have
become sullied with sin from the time that You promised me, and
it will cause me to be delivered into Esau’s hand.”

The expression “and four hundred men are with him” tells us that
Jacob’s fear of sin was equal to the natural fear that a person
has of a thief or a dangerous animal. For Jacob, the fear of sin
was a reality and the only thing to fear.

The Talmud in Brachos 5b brings a story: Once four
hundred jars of wine belonging to R. Huna turned sour. The
scholars went in to visit him and said to him, “The master ought
to examine his actions.”

He said to them, “Am I suspect in your eyes?”

They replied, “Is the Holy One, blessed be He, suspect of
punishing without justice?”

He replied, “If somebody has heard of anything against me, let
him speak out.”

“We have heard that the master does not give his tenant his
lawful share in the vine twigs,” they replied.

“Does he leave me any? He steals them all!” he countered.

However they answered him, “That is exactly what the proverb
says, ‘If you steal from a thief you also have a taste of it!’ ”

He then pledged to give it to him in the future. Some report
that thereupon the vinegar became wine again; others that the
vinegar went up so high that it was sold for the same price as
wine.

The Lekach Tov asked, why didn’t the sages inquire into the
natural reason for the wine turning sour? Is it true that every
time someone’s wine goes bad that the reason is because of sin?

The answer is that there are no natural causes! Everything that
happens to use is because of our merits or because of our sins.

Our Rabbis taught: In a certain place there was once a lizard
which used to injure people. They came and told R. Hanina b.
Dosa. He said to them: Show me its hole. They showed him its
hole, and he put his heel over the hole, and the lizard came out
and bit him, and it died. He put it on his shoulder and brought
it to the Beth ha-Midrash and said to them: See, my sons, it is
not the lizard that kills, it is sin that kills! On that
occasion, they said: Woe to the man whom a lizard meets, but woe
to the lizard which R. Hanina b. Dosa meets! (Gemara
Brachos 33a)

R. Ammi said: There is no death without sin, and there is no
suffering without iniquity. (Gemara Shabbath 55a)

This awesome and frightening idea can help bring us to new
levels in our fear of G-d and our fear of sin.

The Seven Deadly Sins of Web Business Design

Before you take a road trip it is usually a good idea to know where you are going. It is the same when you are building a business, creating a marketing plan or building your web site. Know what your end result will be when you are planning and designing your site will help you to build it properly from day one.

Here are the 7 Deadly Sins that most web business owners commit when designing their site.

  1. Picking a business without knowing wether there is a deman.

  2. Picking too broad of a subject. If you pick a huge subject like real estate the likelyhood of soaring to the top of the search engines is slim. Niches tend to be easier to conquer and more profitable.

  3. Picking a low cost web host. You get what you pay for. Many low cost web hosts go out of business leaving your business lost in cyber space.

  4. Failure to analyze keywords for profitability. Picking the right key words for your business can be the difference between making and losing money.

  5. Failure to create and maintain your site’s meta tags. These are the html tags that tell the search engines what your site is about. No metatags equals little to no traffic to your site.

  6. Failure to optimize your web business for search engine ranking. Just adding meta tags will not earn you a number one ranking. You need to know how to pick a domain name, and how many times to include your key words within your site.

  7. Failure to submit each page to the search engines on a regular basis. The greater the number of pages in your site that are spidered, the better the chance that your buyers will find you.

Why a Professional Resume?

As a job search tool your Resume is your main calling card. It explains who you are and what you have to offer. Your Resume is your best chance to make a first impression. An exceptional Resume will help you Stand Out from the crowd. A solid, well-crafted Resume will get you interviews. That’s the Resume’s job - to get you the interview! The professional Resume Writer’s task, in creating that Resume, is to present and sell your skills, abilities and experience in the most professional and appealing way!

Your Resume has to capture the reader’s attention within 15 seconds! That’s where a professionally crafted Resume stands above the rest. Your Resume’s main theme and supporting value messages are what capture that attention, inviting the reader to look more closely at your Profile and Background. You need to Stand Out! That’s what your Resume has to do, help you put the best face on your skills, accomplishments and experience.

There are No Second Chances to make a First Impression! Do you want to leave your future to chance with a haphazardly assembled Resume that does not capture Who You Really Are? A professional resume will help You secure that next career move you are now ready to make. It’s called Branding. You are a Brand of One, with a collection of skills, work experiences and training that make You unique in all the important ways.

How Do You View Yourself? Your Resume says a lot of important things, but the one thing it says above all others is How You View Yourself. Yes, you heard me - How You View Yourself! If your Resume is just a cookie cutter collection of facts, figures and dates outlining your work and education history, then this tells the reader you view yourself and your experience as Not Too Important. Which for them means: Not Particularly Valuable.

That’s Why You Need to Stand Out! Don’t expect hiring professionals to read between the lines. Hiring professionals only read what’s on the lines and pause on those statements that send a value message to them. If you care about yourself and value what you have to offer, then a Professional Resume will communicate that and more. The days of using someone else’s Resume as a guide, or relying on some cookie cutter model of resume writing, are over.

Qualifications and Experience are one thing, but Attitude is equally important. You can have all the training and experience that a position calls for, but without a winning attitude, your Resume lands in the pile of “also rans.” What will set you apart from other candidates is that Winning Attitude which is essential to communicate. A Positive Winning Attitude represents Energy. A professionally crafted resume will convey that energetic attitude.

To sum up, you need a Resume that: 1) can sell your qualifications and experience effectively; 2) tantalizes, excites and prompts the reader to want to know more about you; 3) begins to answer the question: “Why should I hire you;” 4) goes beyond the standard formats and presents You as that one of a kind candidate; 5) takes your professional training and experience to the next level, showing commitment, dedication, ability and value; 6) and accurately reflects your positive, energetic attitude.
