Located next to the Golf course in Costa Teguise, you will find Lanzarote’s one and only Aqua Park, which is open every day from 10.00 to 18:00. Most hotels offer excursions to the Aquapark (with Ticket prices including coach transfers). If you are staying in a private villa and have hired a car, it’s relatively easy to find. Even though there are no sign posts as such, the slides can be seen from a distance due to the low lying land in the area. We were 2 adults and 2 children.
Admission cost 20 per adult + 15 per child. .2 Euros per locker, 2.50 for a sunbed, it was not the cheapest excursion, so be prepared
The Aquapark offers a wide range of slides and pools and is an ideal day out for families of all ages. It’s fun for all the family and makes for an unforgettable day out, but go prepared.
My two boys were 6 and 11 respectively when we went there and age/size can be a problem, so make sure you check the rules on each ride before joining the queues as they will not let small children ride on the white knuckle slides (eg ‘kamikaze’ and perhaps ’spiral’ depending on height). Both my lads enjoyed the ‘fast-river’ and the eldest was brave enough to try the kamikaze (but only once !). The youngest will have to wait a few years. There were gentler options like the children’s pool, and play area (free) and on the day we went there was a bouncy castle, trampolines and paddle boats (extra charges apply for these).
There is also a shop and a restaurant. We had packed lunches, but having inspected the menu, we found the prices reasonable, so will probably eat there next time..
None of the pools are heated, so again choose your day. If its cloudy or overcast, it will probably be be cold in the water too. We were fortunate as the weather turned in the afternoon and it was very hot, so we were pleased the water was cold.
The life-guards were fewer than I had expected but they did seem to be very aware an at least as good as anything I’ve seen in the uk. There were also limited inflatable rings on some of the rides, perhaps because people had taken them into the pool or kept them by their sunbeds !.
Conclusion : The waterpark was a great day out. Yes, the water is cool, perhaps even too cold , but so is the water everywhere (unless you’ve got a heated pool of course). There were not too many people in the waterpark on the day we went, which meant few queues, but I’d guess this changes in the six weeks school holidays !

When I tell people that they can get easily and cheaply rent an
apartment in Rome for their city vacation, they sometimes look
at me like I’m nuts. It’s not that they’ve never thought of the
idea. It’s that they think its too hard to arrange, or heard
some strange things about it, like:
1. Its far too expensive for any reasonable budget.
Price is probably the most common misconception. I’ve even heard
this from good friends who have seen me take this option just
about any time I want.
The only thing that price and these apartments have in common is
that both can give you a huge choice. The big difference is that
when you know how to find the perfect place, and you understand
how much freedom you can gain, you can win with this game just
about every time you play.
Finding a great apartment has nothing to do with luck. It has
everything to do with knowing where to look, and getting a huge
choice that fits a given budget.
2. You’ll Struggle to get a good location, and be nowehere
near the action.
When I first started to travel to Rome, I thought the same
thing. But, you know what, its just not true. The resource I’ll
recommend to you at the end of this article can put you right
next to The Spanish Steps, in a glorious apartment with balcony
views. They can also find you a family villa, tucked away in the
hills outside the City - and pretty much everything in between.
I’ve rented apartments in Rome plenty of times since my early
stays in the cities Hotels, both on business and pleasure, and
not a single one of these places has let me down . In fact, they
were all perfectly sited for my needs on each trip, sometimes
bustling and convenient, sometimes peaceful and secluded.
And the fact is, you don’t need to spend hours of research to
find just the right thing. These days you can simply go to one
website and find a choice of apartments to match your
requirements.
With my partners at Venere.com, that’s a breeze.
3. Isn’t it just less hassle to book a package deal?
Renting an apartment in Rome is cool for two reasons. First, you
get an unbelievable amount of freedom and flexibility that most
city centre hotels just can’t offer. Just come and go as you
please. Drop in for a quick shower after a hard days
sightseeing, and freshen up before you go out to the Opera
House. Use as a base to entertain friends and family into the
early hours, there’s no-one to complain about the noise! Sleep
in till lunchtime if you want, there’s nobody clamouring to
clean the room.
The second reason is that you get much closer to the people. You
can easily find a rental property that’s tucked in with the
locals… say, just off the Piazza Navona near the city centre,
and really get a feel for Roman life close up. I promise you it
takes a short vacation to another level of experience, and you
could find you’re visitng the Eternal City more and more often.
For both reasons, I believe that the minor hassle of making
slightly more detailed plans before you travel is well worth the
effort. Most people don’t understand that, and that’s why they
miss out.
4. You’d Need A Top Quality Agent You Can Trust with your
Money.
And at this point I tend to agree with them. Business and
leisure travellers have been using the Agent I recommend for
many years, and they specialise in renting apartments in Rome.
It’s one of their biggest sources of revenue, and therefore a
line of business that they guard carefully. If you’re ready to
have a look at the huge choice and value on offer, here’s a link
for you:
Lets-Travel-Rome.co
m/Venere
The truth is, I needed to have an ultra reliable resource to
back up my travel plans, and I wanted to deal with people that
had strong contacts on the ground in Rome. And that’s all they
do!
It can take me less than fifteen minutes to find and book my
exact requirements every time I click through to their site.
So, You don’t need to search for hours when you want to rent an
apartment in Rome. You just have to look in the right place.
That’s all for now. In my next article, I’ll explain more of my
travel tips for your time in Rome
Best wishes for a great vacation,
Les Sheppard

Many visitors visit the state of New York on an annual basis. Not only is there a large tourism influx to New York City but other areas of the Empire State as well. This beautiful state boasts bright lights in some areas and serene landscape in others. There are so many options for visitors who wish to take in all that New York has to offer. One of the best ways to get the full effect of vacationing in New York is to stay at one of the many fine bed and breakfast establishments throughout this state.
Staying at a Bed and Breakfast as Opposed to a Hotel
There are a few reasons why individuals may prefer to choose a bed and breakfast over a chain hotel. The first reason is the overall quaintness of a bed and breakfast establishment. It is like being in the comfort of one’s own home while on vacation. Secondly, as the name suggests, breakfast is another wonderful benefit of staying in a room at a bed and breakfast. Third, bed and breakfast accommodations are usually very friendly as the owners are most likely on the premises each day and will bend over backwards to please their guests and receive good feedback. Lastly, bed and breakfast owners frequently arrange numerous activities for their guests to participate in while staying in their establishment. This is especially beneficial for those who have never been to the New York area before and are unfamiliar with all the great things that New York has to offer.
It is also important to point out the fact that bed and breakfast establishments are much more popular and readily available than one would think. The best way to find a perfect bed and breakfast when booking a vacation to New York is to ask for recommendations from friends and family members or utilize the Internet to learn a bit more about various bed and breakfast accommodations in the desired area.
If one is looking to come to New York on vacation and experience the beauty of this wondrous state, then a reservation at a bed and breakfast might just be the perfect way to make the most out of a trip to New York.
Shawn is the owner of The Bed and Breakfast Connector, an online directory providing guests and innkeepers with all the information needed to plan the perfect vacation.

Laptops and Notebooks
These are amongst the most wanted Christmas gifts this year. Why? Each one has it’s own unique function. You can each of these gift ideas with you anywhere. Small compact size, very useful functions, and extremely portable makes these gifts truly unique.
Let’s examine the Palm Pilot. A Personal Digital Assistant has many useful functions to make everyones day go a little smoother. Too much to list. All these applications come in a handy PC you can fit in your pocket.
MP3 Players are all the rage these days. Many can hold up to 15,000 songs. These little hard drives do not lack in the portability category. Many are so small they can fit anywhere and very versatile. You can download your favorite songs instead of having to buy a whole CD where you might only like a couple of songs. Many places online charge only a small fee per song(about 79 cents). You can remove and add all you want. Get the latest single, or download an empire of music and it will always be there. No CD to scratch, or lose, no more listening for hours on the radio waiting to hear your favorite song.

It folds up into about the size of a wallet. Perfect for their little hands. The Nintendo DS Game System is the perfect gift for children.
Surround sound speakers can add elegance to any sound system. If you want to feel the thunder of the bass and let the music move you from all sides, these are the best way to go. You can watch movies and hear the sounds from all angles. Make the neighbors jealous with envy when they can hear and feel the movie, or music, while they are stuck listening to a very weak mono tone system. Step up to surround sound speakers for the ultimate listening experience.
GMRS radios and GPS tracking systems go hand in hand. GMRS is a two-way radio with a range of up to 8 miles. You can communicate at the park, in the mall, around the neighborhood, or anywhere and there are no contract fees. That’s right it’s free! GPS tracking systems are very easy to operate and of course small enough to take with you. Simply enter in the destination and follow the on screen instructions. A GPS system can get you to your area within 10 feet! Awesome!
Next we have the ultimate portable computer. We are talking about the Laptop, or Notebook computer. It’s like taking a desktop PC with you, but in much more compact size. Many weigh less than 7lbs. You get all the functions of a desktop, including DVD ROM, internet access, upgradeable memory, and much more in a computer smaller than a brief case. You can take the whole office with you, perfect for students, and home use. This truly is the best Christmas gift for Him or Her.

The job is motherhood.
We all have a mother. With our lives as busy as they are we can forget to tell our mom how great she is. Luckily, one day a year is reserved as a special tribute to our teacher, our biggest fan and maybe even our best friend. So is there a gift special enough for that special lady? What could you possibly send her to convey your appreciation for her years of kissing boo-boos, finding lost shoes and letting you live through your teen years?
For the answer, let’s look at your mom. What are the other loves of her life? When she’s not completely engrossed in you, what does she like to do? Is it reading, gardening, art, or shopping? The answer to the perfect gift lies within her.
Does her perfect day involve digging through dirt and talking to insects? If she loves to garden a gardening basket will be a sure hit. It celebrates the coming spring as well as her years of selfless dedication. How about a basket filled with seed packets, gardening gloves, a garden tool or two and some sweet treats. She’ll think about you with every newly opened bloom.
Does your mom have a sweet tooth? Is she the one with a secret stash of her favorite chocolates? A basket stuffed with all the sweet favorites she craves should make her smile. If you really want to spoil her you can give her some of those gourmet chocolates she’s always dropping hints about. Add some tissue paper for filling and a nice bow to make it pretty and she’ll be completely impressed.
Every mom enjoys a night out of the kitchen. What’s her favorite restaurant? A gift certificate or even better, a date for dinner with you is sure to be a special gift. If your mom is more of a homebody, surprise her with take out from that restaurant. Either way her cravings are satisfied, the kitchen stays clean, and she gets to spend time with you.
The gift of relaxation is one that every mom deserves. Make it easy for her to find peace with a nice spa basket. Fill it with luxurious bath beads, bath salt, a real sponge and a big fluffy towel. Add some candles and a CD of mood music and relaxation is hers.
To some tea is an art. If that describes your mom’s feelings about tea, give her a gift she’ll love. Make her a tea basket. Gather some of her favorites; add a special teacup and a maybe a sentimental book dedicated to motherhood. The soothing scents and flavors will give her a moment of bliss in a busy day.
If you want to get your mom the best gift of all you don’t have to search far. Most moms just want to be with their kids. Spend some time with her on this special day. Make your gift to her a day spent with you. Have lunch, take in a movie, go shopping or something else she likes to do. Give her your time. It’s the most precious gift any of us has to give.

Idaho is a haven for those who love the outdoors. From Hell’s Canyon and Heaven’s Gate, to thousands of natural springs, rapid white waters, and a city of rocks; you’ll find adventure around every bend in Idaho.
“The Gem Of The Mountains.”
Idaho’s name is thanks to George M. Willing, who urged congress to adopt the name, which he said meant the “gem of the mountains.” Those who love the outdoors would agree. Idaho’s landscape is filled with breathing-taking rivers, perfect for white water rafting, and lakes set within lush woodlands. Travel on the path Lewis & Clark trekked or take off on your own adventure. Wherever you go in Idaho it’s sure to be a memorable trip.
Artists Capture Idaho’s Beauty With Water Colors
Pack your palate and water colors for a trip to Idaho to join Professional artist, Erica Craig, and other aspiring painters in the wilderness. While a snapshot is a memorable token of a vacation, imagine bringing home a painting that captures the scenic beauty of Idaho. Erica helps inspire artists to do just this on wilderness river trips on the Main Salmon River in Idaho. The six day, 80 mile trip takes artist to scenic locations and sandy beaches where “You capture things with watercolors that you just can’t capture on film,” said Erica. A Fantastic Experience Awaits On The White Waters In Idaho
Our journey through Idaho took us through stunning landscapes and along crystal clear lakes. We discovered paradise, and continued our search for the wild side of Idaho, and then our adventure along Idaho’s Main Salmon and Middle Fork of the Salmon river began.
With Warren River Expeditions, Inc. we have the choice of 5, 6, and 10 day white water rafting trips on Idaho’s Main Salmon and Middle Fork of the Main Salmon rivers. It’s said that both of these rivers are arguably two of the finest white water experiences in the world. We found out there’s nothing like the rush of heading down the river and finding ancient rock drawings around the bend. To imagine we traveled along the same path as Lewis & Clark adds a special touch to the experience.
In addition to Warren River Expeditions, Inc. standard river trips they also offer specialty trips like Seniors only lodge stay trips, family rafting trips, Intergenerational trips, fly fishing trips, kayak workshops, and popular women’s only trips. The best part of the trip is the “Great food, Great friends, and Great fun” we enjoyed with our fellow rafters.
